I don't think you have one. If it is, it is under the hood near the passenger side hood or behind the glove box. I don't think you have one.

They may not have them, auto parts stores list them, but they're an aftermarket thing if you want to install one.

I have a problem with cigarette smoke on the used 2003 Explorer XLT that I just bought. Any suggestions for elimination? Does this model have a cabin filter and if so where is it? Thanks very much!

You could try changing the cabin air filter, an old trick I've done in the past is to put cups of white vinegar on the floorboards and lock the car. White vinegar smell kills smoke smell while smoke smell kills vinegar smell. A friend taught me this trick at his home where he smoked 5 packs a day and you couldn't smell the smoke. Good luck and I hope I helped you, Merry Christmas

These filters are sometimes listed, but are not always used on all models. It drives me crazy to spend 15 minutes walking up to them to find out there aren't any. :Poorly:
They are usually located behind the glove box or accessed through the wiper hood area. I would call the dealer and ask.

If you have one, it's on the passenger side in the bulkhead under the hood. You will see a removable panel that says: cabin air filter

Hallo,
I'm not sure, but I don't think the Explorer has a cabin filter. In this case you may need to call your local Ford dealer. I can't find any information about it.

Does my 2002 Explorer XLT have a cabin air filter? The air pressure from the vents doesn't blow as hard as it used to at the highest fan speed.

I had the same problem so I researched many different things in many different ways and watched many different videos of people solving this problem. Door that falls on the vent, as well as a large amount of dirt that is sucked in and deposited on the screen that covers the fan, so that between the two the total suction capacity of the intake is completely interrupted, restricting the airflow to all At Your openings the problem is that it is accessible so you need to make it accessible and this link I will post is how to do it.
