Are you looking for the best hotels near Disney World? Look no further, as we list the best (and worst) hotel options outside of Disney World.
You're going to Disney World! Congratulations! When booking your Disney vacation, it's important to think first about where you'll be staying! It's the number one choice for everyone to stay at a Disney property to get even closer to the magic, use Magical Express transportation, get MagicBands and deal with the hassle of making reservations.
However, what if we told you that we would take the initiative to show you all of your off-site Disney hotel options, including some of the SAME incentives and at a lower price?
Some of these hotels near Disney are real insider tips that might even surprise you! The best thing about the options we've rounded up is that each one has a different appeal! Surely there is a hotel near Disney that is perfect for you!
What are Disney Outside Hotels?
Your first question is totally valid! We all know about the popular Disney resorts on property, but if you're looking for accommodations for your Walt Disney World vacation, don't count off-site hotels just yet! Like Disney-owned hotels, these are hotels that are close to Disney but not owned by Disney.
In terms of proximity, some of these hotels are within walking distance of Epcot, Hollywood Studios and/or Disney Springs. Therefore, they definitely count as hotels near Disney World!
That said, venturing outside of your usual residence on Disney properties isn't a total loss, whether you're visiting Disney's Polynesian Resort or Disney's Pop Century Resort. In fact, some of the best hotels near Disney World are off-site!
What are the benefits of staying at a hotel near Disney?
The biggest draw to hotels near Disney World, as opposed to Disney properties, is, of course, the price. Disney Property resorts are luxurious and truly worth the experience for some, but for others who tend to spend less time at the hotel and more time at the parks, staying at a hotel near Disney is a good option.
Because these hotels are a separate entity from Disney World, outdoor pools, restaurants, and other on-site activities may remain open longer than Disney properties. Since all resorts are different, they all have different benefits. However, it's important not to count them yet, as some offer Disney-like services such as transportation to Disney parks and FastPass+ services.
Disadvantages of Staying at Hotels Near Disney World
First, none of these outside hotels can take advantage of Disney's Magical Express. This fast, easy, FREE transportation is a big deal for some guests, so it's important to decide if you're one of them.
Also, none of these hotels near Disney World offer MagicBands. If you want to buy one for your trip, you can buy it at Disney World and buy it onlineON HERE.
MagicBands cost between $15 and $30 each. So this cost depends on how many people are in your party. For a group of 2-3 people, it's not a big deal to buy them separately instead of a group of 7-8 people.

Wyndham Garden Lake Buenavista
This hotel near Disney isn't terrible, but it's not impressive either. Our advice for staying here would be to stay in the tower wing. It's more elegant and clean than the garden wing.
The only other notable points would be thatWyndham Garden View Good visita has activities for kids and a breakfast with character that we think will make guests want to come here.
As mentioned above, there's not necessarily anything wrong with hotels near Disney World making our worst list. However, we believe that the Disney experience only comes with a great resort with the best amenities, the benefits of Disney parks and great outdoor activities like those mentioned above.
